Hello, everyone. This is a quick post for folks (like me) using DarNfied UI for Fallout 3.
After the last Fo3 update and the required Anniversary Patcher use, you can't use the "DUI F3" settings option in the game's main menu (it does nothing). Do the following to access the DUI F3 in the game's pause menu (credits to DarkDominion):
"Open start_menu.xml in Data/Menus/Options with Darn installed
find the <_isPauseMenu> line
Edit <eq> 9 </eq> to <eq> 8 </eq> two lines under it (line 51)
DARN uses the number of items in the start menu list to detect the main menu.
The patcher removes the LIVE button so DARN's check fails
The code checks if the number of items in the menu equals 9 ( or 8 )"
